Description

This raspberry mocktail is a non-alcoholic spin on an aperitif sour. Shaken with fresh citrus, raspberry jam, aperitif alternative, and aquafaba for a frothy finish, this cocktail has the perfect mix of sweet, tart, bitter, and smooth.

Ingredients

Raspberry Aperitif Mocktail

  • 1 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1 full tbsp raspberry jam (any sweet jam flavor will work)
  • 1 1/2 oz zero proof aperitif (I use Ritual Aperitif Alternative)
  • 1 oz aquafaba* (the liquid from a can of chickpeas)
  • Fresh raspberries, for garnish

Instructions

Raspberry Aperitif Mocktail

  1. In a shaker without ice, add all of the ingredients.
  2. Shake for 30 seconds, then add ice and shake for another 30 seconds.
  3. Strain over a glass of ice. If using a chunky or seeded jam, hold a small fine mesh strainer over the glass to double strain in order to separate out any bits.
  4. Garnish with fresh fruit and enjoy!

Notes

*AQUAFABA – This might seem like a strange ingredient, but you can’t taste it one bit! Usually egg whites are used to create that smooth and frothy finish, but aquafaba is a great alternative for those who can’t or don’t prefer to consume raw egg. That being said, an egg white can be used in place of the aquafaba.

COCKTAIL – If you’d like to make this into a regular cocktail simply use any aperitif, like Campari.
