WHAT YOU NEED blueberries  sugar lemon juice & zest all purpose flour active dry yeast eggs milk vanilla extract almond extract salt unsalted butter

start with a soft enriched brioche dough - mix until smooth and chill overnight

once chilled, roll into a 10x12" rectangle and spread the blueberry jam on top in a thin layer

roll into a tight log. when the filling in spread thin, it should not spill out the sides

slice it down the middle, length wise, to expose the layers inside

place the two sections, slice side up, into an X formation

and fold over each end 2 1/2 times until you create a long swirled loaf

place into a loaf pan and let it rest for 1 1/2 hours. then bake for 40 minutes and top with simple syrup
